General Information on C-LETZ Conization Electrode
Discover our advanced electrodes, specifically designed for precision and efficiency in C-LETZ (Contoured Loop Excision of the Transformation Zone). The electrodes come in four models with optimized contours for both ectocervical and endocervical procedures. The contours follow a predictable pattern for CIN lesions. The asymmetric rotation electrode for C-LETZ offers varying depth and radius, making it ideal for lesions with both ectocervical and endocervical involvement. The electrode is centered in the cervical canal and rotated a full turn, ensuring optimal tissue preservation and diagnostic accuracy.
The electrodes use a 0.3 mm tungsten wire, known for its high thermal conductivity and durability. This allows for precise dissection with minimal coagulation necrosis, ensuring tissue specimens remain “native” and easy to diagnose histopathologically.
Each model of the rotation electrode creates tissue cones with a radius of 9–15 mm and a depth of 10–23 mm. The electrode tip is applied endocervically and rotated a full 360 degrees clockwise, requiring foot pedal control. The electrodes are compatible with all generators and pens with a 2.4 mm fitting.
