External Filter Pack

The ESU-501 is an advanced two-stage filter, consisting of a HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) and an activated carbon filter. Together with the ULPA filter (Ultra Low Particulate Air) SSE-500, this system provides over 99% elimination of particles as small as 0.1 microns and efficient smoke filtration for particles ranging from 0.02 to 0.3 microns.

The filter is mounted on a corrugated tube, transitioning into a speculum tube. It has a capacity for 15 standard procedures, but early replacement may be beneficial, especially in cases involving extensive coagulation, which can lead to increased smoke production and stronger odors. Many clinics schedule conization procedures on a single day per week and replace the filters afterward. Each clinic should determine its own filter replacement protocol based on efficiency and odor control needs.
