BT-Cath® Balloon Tamponade
BT-Cath® is a soft uterine ballon tamponade made of silicone that provides temporary control of postpartum uterine bleeding. The easy-to-use tamponade features a catheter that allows blood drainage from the uterus, providing an immediate indication of the tamponade’s effectiveness and hemostasis. The silicone ensures optimal biocompatibility and durability.
BT-Cath® comes in two versions, with and without EasyFill™.
BT-Cath® (BTC-100)
The double lumen allows for drainage while simultaneously filling the balloon with saline solution. Two 60 ml syringes are included to enable continuous saline infusion without interruption. A bag spike and a three-way tap are also included.
BT-Cath® EasyFill™ (BTC-ESY)
EasyFill™ is a closed system that allows a single person to operate the tamponade. EasyFill™ includes a 60 ml syringe and a tubing kit. With the help of a special valve, there is no need for two syringes—one is sufficient for a continuous saline flow.
